The one I would say that is very dear to my existence on earth would be the sound of music. The first time I heard the rhythm, of music, I was completely mesmorized. I dedicate most of my time to download new music. I search up and down to find different bands. There are so many underground bands out there but, some, of which, never get any credit. My favorite bands would have to be Band of Horses, Boyce Avenue, and Flyleaf. They show incredible amounts of talent through inspirational lyrics, and very impressive vocal ranges.
.
Band of Horses is an amazing band. My friend, whom is a singer/performer, introduced me to this band. It happened on a beautiful August day, and the sun was at its brightest. We had the windows down, and the sunroof open. The music was blaring as loud as it could possibly go. Within moments, a song came on. I took a listen, as my friend told me the name, “The Funeral”. I suddenly got high vibrations and a tingling sensation throughout my whole body. At that moment I fell in love, not only with the song, but also with the band. After hearing that song I knew I had to do some research. I had to download everything they may have ever created. With every song I downloaded my love and appreciation for them increased. The lead singer, Ben Bridwell, has a beautiful, soft and unique voice. Band of Horses is an amazing band that everyone should spare some time, when able, to give them a listen.
.
Boyce Avenue is a cover band that everyone should listen to. One day, I was looking up cover songs to see what I could find. I was just scrolling around when I came across a cover song for the song wonderwall by Oasis. I clicked the link and gave it a listen. As I sighed with a deep breath I felt myself falling into a trance. His voice relaxed my whole body, and somehow made me feel complete. His voice symblized a calming ocean wave as it hit the rough shore. The lead singer is a very talented individual. Boyce Avenue portray themselves to be a band that not only are true to themelves, but to their music as well. To me, this band is merely motivational, inspriational, and captivating.
.
Another band I love goes by the name of Flyleaf. They are categorized as a Christian band, but they are a phenomenal addition to the genre of alternative music. The first time I heard them on the radio my mouth dropped. When I listen to thi s band positive thoughts flow throughout my mind, body and soul. Their lyrics guide me in the direction I should be going; Which is forward. The lead singer, Lacey Sturm, has an incredible vocal range that send chills up my spine. Soceity should be consumed with more bands like Flyleaf. They strive to send good messages to society. Flyleaf has helped me during tough times, and I think they could do the same for many.
.
Alternative music is my meaning, my inspiration, and my motivation; My life. From the first moment such beautiful sounds flowed through my body, I was in love. I will state that I have love for all music, not just alternative music. However, the bands, Band of Horses, Boyce Avenue, and Flyleaf will forever be my favorite bands. They are amazing and demonstrate perfect music. All of their songs send chills down my spine. Their voices touch me mentally, and stay with me. Still to ths day, I continue to let music inspire me along my journey through life.
